By foot:
You can leave Tower Bridge by the stairs down to the quayside immediately you have crossed to the south side of the river. You will then be on Shad Thames. Walk downstream (away from the new City Hall), turn right into Horselydown Lane and then first left into Gainsford Street - we're just on the corner!
From London Bridge, walk along the riverfront (the Queen's Walk) - it's a nice walk in good weather. Pass City Hall, go underneath Tower Bridge and then as above.
By car:
Coming off Tower Bridge in a southerly direction, turn left into Queen Elizabeth Street before you reach the traffic lights at Tooley Street. Turn left towards the river immediately into Horselydown Lane and Gainsford Street is the first to your right. Parking can be difficult in the little streets around here, but there is a new multi-storey car park in Gainsford Street and a large parking lot on the other side of Tower Bridge (access from Tooley Street).
If you are coming from London Bridge, turn left into Tooley Street (first turning off the bridge) and continue straight ahead, past Hay's Galleria. Then either: (1) Before the turning onto Tower Bridge, turn left into parking by the bridge approach road; or (2) continue past the traffic lights, then first turning to your left, then left and then turn right into Horselydown Lane as above.
By public transport:
London Bridge Station is served by trains from all over southeast England. Also by the Northern and Jubilee Lines of the Underground and many bus services. From the station, aim for Hay's Galleria, go through to the riverfront and then downstream - see above.
Tower Hill underground station can be reached on the District or Circle lines, and nearby Tower Gateway station is one of the termini of the Docklands Light Railway. Aim for Tower Bridge, cross it and follow the foot directions above.
If all else fails:
Ring us on (+44 (0)20) 7378 1171. Or take a taxi (you may have to remind the cabbie that Gainsford Street is in the Butlers Wharf area)!
