Why are we called Marinade?

We would like strenuously to deny that it has anything to do with getting pickled.

It's really a pun on Marine Aid or Marine Administration. The company was originally registered in 1982 to provide consultancy on these topics, but didn't start trading until 1988. By that time, we were offering EDI consultancy, and many new EDI consultancies were appearing, all called "EDI this" and "EDI that". So we thought, why not keep the name? It won't easily be forgotten.... and it wasn't!

So there we are - it's Marinade Limited, pronounced exactly as you would pronounce the concoction in which you marinate tomorrow's culinary masterpiece.
