MandateTM is a concept for creating the functional equivalence of negotiability in a fully electronic environment, with a minimum of trust in third parties. The concept was developed by Marinade Limited together with our Danish partners, Cryptomathic A/S, and has been patented in most major jurisdictions.
Parts of the project have been sponsored by the European Commission, first within TEDIS and later in the ETS programme. In a recent pilot project, we implemented the Mandate solution as an electronic cheque and successfully trialled this with a number of major European banks.
We are currently discussing ways of exploiting the patent for commercial purposes and are looking for further interested parties with whom to commercialise an application based around the Mandate technology. If you are interested, please contact us.
